How to Get the Most out of Hypnotherapy & NLP

Remember that behavioural and cognitive change therapy's efficacy lies in the determination to achieve your goal through commitment to attending sessions, doing 'the work,' and goal-oriented action.

In order to create momentum and progress, it is optimal to follow your proposed treatment plan.

Of course, the length of treatment will vary from person to person and depends on the nature of the goals you are seeking assistance with.

How Long will Hypnotherapy Take

Most therapy goals are achieved within 4 to 8 sessions. Therapy progresses as clients move through the cycles of change.

A general idea of what to expect looks like:

  • Initial Consultation phase - typically 1 session.

  • Relief phase - typically 1 to 3 sessions.

  • Corrective phase - typically 1 to 3 sessions.

  • Strengthening phase - conducted during all sessions.

  • Maintenance phase - as required.

It’s critical to acknowledge that this timeline is not rigid but adaptable to the individual needs and responses of each client. Your Mind Redesigned's approach emphasises the whole person rather than just the problem, requiring flexibility and attentiveness to each client’s unique goals.

Regular reassessment and adaptation of the treatment plan are integral to this process, ensuring that the approach remains aligned with the patient's evolving goals and objectives.

What to Bring to a Hypnotherapy Appointment

We want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so please take note of the following guidelines for your session:

Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement or cause discomfort during the session.

Bring any relevant information or materials related to the issue you are seeking help with, such as notes, reports, or test results.

Come to the session with an open mind and a willingness to participate in the process.

What to Expect at an Initial Hypnotherapy Consultation

During your initial consultation we discuss your goals, the challenges you want to overcome, explore potential roadblocks, and identify factors that can help you succeed.

Hypnosis and neuro linguistic programming (NLP) is not typically conducted during an initial session as the information we gather during our conversation is used to create a personalised treatment plan.

This plan is designed to optimise your mindset and help you overcome mental blocks that may be holding you back from achieving your goals.

What to Expect at Progressive Hypnotherapy Sessions

Progressive sessions are designed to address, support and encourage the various stages of change.

During the relief phase, mental and emotional obstructions are addressed.

The corrective phase orientates toward establishing new cognitions and behaviours that support goal attainment.

When in the strengthening phase resilience to dysfunction and encouragement of supportive behaviour is reinforced. This vital step assists with prevention of relapse.

Completion of therapy occurs when in the maintenance and prevention phase where the focus is on maintaining the achieved goals, prevention of future episodes of relapse, and support overall mental and emotional well-being.

Cancellations, Late or Missed Appointments

We're proud to run on time so you can plan your day effectively. Please note that being late to your appointment will impact the amount of time for your session and what can be achieved.

If we ask you to change your appointment within 24 hours to a different day, we will offer you a bonus appointment with no out-of-pocket fee.

If you need to change an appointment, please allow us a minimum of 24 hours' notice so that we can arrange to care for another client during that time.
